Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise all personnel at the site level
• Maintain the construction schedule while holding trades and suppliers accountable
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers with planning and completion of the work, reading drawings and interpreting specifications
• Coordinate delivery of materials to the site
• Coordinate required inspections with required cities and departments
• Ensure compliance with martini levels of quality while maintaining the design intent, safety standards, budget and schedule
• Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
• Quality control – proactively address deficiencies
• Ensure trades rectify all deficiencies on a timely manner
• Resolves complaints and grievances that may arise within the workforce at the jobsite
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean, organized, and adhering to job safety standards
• Work directly with our Project Managers and our office design staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in construction or a related industry
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Construction Foreman or Construction Supervisor Role
• Level 1 or 2 First Aid is an asset
• Site safety officer (CSO) Certification is an asset
• Valid BC Drivers License
• Strong communication skills
• Close attention to detail
• Problem solving skills

We are looking for a Interior Designer / Draftsperson with experience to join our team.

You are a passionate individual that contributes to our company’s success. You enjoy the challenges and victories of the construction and development industry. You are solutions-oriented and take initiative to get work completed in the most effective way. You take ownership of your role and constantly look for areas to improve. You will report to our Construction Managers and will work will all of our site and office staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare permit drawings for building permit, tender, and construction using AutoCAD
• Outline specifications and complete tender packages for trade tendering
• Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, consultants, city officials and staff as part of the project team
• Coordinates project documentation, including creating submittals, purchase/change orders, and shop drawings
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a team

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Completion of a post-secondary diploma in architectural design and drafting, building technology, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in drafting/AutoCAD
• Experience in office and commercial tenant improvements projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with the BC Building Code and Municipal Zoning Bylaws
• Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail

• Ordering material and coordinating deliveries
• Work with the site supervisor to solve on site problems and conflicts
• Enforce safety procedures, ensure proper use of equipment and safety gear, and train workers on safety guidelines
• Prepare reports on progress, and worker performance

• Installation of backing, blocking, and structural supports for millwork and finishes
• Installation of doors, trim, hardware, and architectural details

• Train new hires and apprentices; provide guidance and performance feedback
